AirGo Radio is a podcast and media hub in Chicago reshaping the culture of the city and beyond. At a key moment for growth, they needed a future-facing brand with echoes of the history inspiring them.

The variety of AirGo’s platform inspired an abstract mark, while the wordmark references “on-air” recording iconography. The simple contrast of circle and angle expands to the broader system, influenced by radical midcentury media such as Avant Garde Magazine and PBS Television.

Respair is a movement media hub, born from AirGo’s founders, publishing audio and video content while providing resources to its community to do the same.

Utilizing the equity created by the AirGo rebrand, key elements of the brand language were recontextualized. New pieces added depth and expressed Respair’s more editorial sensibility, illustrating its aspirations to serve as a hub for movement organizations.
